Field Crew Member

Projects for our Survey Department range from residential Boundary Surveys to Construction Layout, to Commercial Site Surveys, to wooded Farm Lot Surveys. Members of the field crew work remotely under the direction of a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor on job all sites. Overnight stays are occasionally required for out of town jobs. Out of town stays can be anywhere from a single night up to a week at a time. All travel is made by company vehicle, starting and ending from our office in Warrendale.

Job Duties Include:
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Carrying survey instruments
Using sledge hammers to drive rebar and wooden stakes into the ground
Regular use of shovels etc. to uncover property corner markers
Taking detailed job notes and site photos
Driving company vehicles
Provide assistance to the Crew Chief in conducting Land Surveys.

Requirements:
Clean driving history required
Pre-employment drug test is required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to stand for long periods and walk over uneven terrain
No prior land survey experience is required (though certainly a plus); but a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and dependability are musts.
